Ukraine nationals packed the churches for
training. The believers were hungry for teaching and to learn the
small group age division teaching and how to organize the All Age Bible
Study. We were amazed as to how many new small group Bible Studies
have been started where in so many instances, the only believer in the
small group was the leader. It was also very common for people to
come to Christ during every worship service. The people from
America were amazed to see how the Holy Spirit was working in the lives
of the people of Ukraine.
Experiencing a Fresh Moving of the Holy Spirit
The year 2001 has been a humbling year. We, at ITM, have experienced many crossroads, which have brought us to following the leadership of the Holy Spirit with blind faith, but an assurance of knowing that the Father is in charge. The events of this year have stretched us beyond where we have ever been before. IN financial areas, people resources, publishing capabilities, and in open doors that require an all or none step of faith.
We are grateful to God for the following blessings that could only have happened as a result of the Father working through His people, His way, to accomplish His Will:
For President Greggory Kommendant of the Union of Evangelical Baptist of Ukraine, and the invitation to come and serve the Lord in the Bible belt of Europe
To train the Ukraine national leadership in a two week period, in 45 different locations, with 11 teams consisting of four or five people, traveling thousands of miles through snow, staying in many national homes and coming home with a smile and confidence that the father had worked in the hearts and lives of His people
For the better than 50 men and women from the USA Southern Baptist Leadership who helped train the national workers.
For the preparation by Ukrainian men, women, and teenagers who attended the training.
For Neal Cordel, Alan Tunget, and the LifeWay International Ministry Leadership who worked to make the training possible
For the International Mission Board Missionaries, Keith Byrd, Regional Coordinator, and their educational leader, Shannon Ford and his team, who worked to assist in the training.
For the largest single training event that the participating organizations could remember.
And finally, the over 103,000 pieces of curriculum that was ordered by the churches of Ukraine to be used in the All Age Bible Studies of the over 2,000 churches.
